Tips for Good study Habits during Covid-19
Things have been evolving rapidly with the COVID-19 outbreak. We realize that the disruptions, including the switch to remote learning, may be overwhelming at first. Below are some practical tips and resources that can help you get started as you navigate distance learning during and after the outbreak:

Get dressed
Avoid the temptation to stay in your night clothes. Start your day by taking a bath and getting dressed as though you were going to school. This will get you in the mind-set of heading to class.

Create a workspace
Do you have a favourite spot to study when you're on at school? Whether it’s your classroom, under a tree or the library, creating a similar space at home can help you stay focused.

Establish a routine
Have a morning routine like that at school - whether having breakfast or chatting with a friend when you arrive at school. Try to find ways to replicate your normal classes and day routine. This will help you mentally prepare to study.

Set boundaries
It can be hard to say “no” to family or friends when you don’t have to go to school, but you can let them know you are busy when studying.
Turn off distractions
Turn off your phone, your webcam or whatever it takes to help you stay focused while studying. Find a space that has little/no trafficking and turn off all electronic devices to assist in closing out distractions.

Take breaks
With no travelling to school or commute to consider, take advantage of the available time and allow yourself to step outside, exercise, or find other ways to relax and regain your focus.

Ask questions
Don’t be afraid to ask for help. This situation is new for all of us, and there will be plenty of questions that arise. Reach out to others and try networking in order to build your knowledge base.

Know it's OK to feel anxious
Take things day by day and try to use some of the approaches outlined here to stay organized and focused. Reach out to your teachers and classmates as needed, remember, you’re not alone we’re all in this together!
